Take Care – Take away Hazards – Think Twice
Every year the world has an official “World Day for Safety and Health at Work”. The annual World Day for Safety and Health at Work was April 28th., 2021.
The World Day for Safety and Health at Work promotes the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally. All workers globally are responsible for working safely and for protecting ourselves and not to endanger others, to know the rights and to participate in the implementation of preventive measures.
In Jupiter Bach safety is our number one priority and the way we do business
Lone Stubberup, Global Director BPM & QHSE explains: Safety needs to be a habit not an act. To have safe workplaces requires effort from every single one of us every single day. We have in Jupiter Bach come a long way the past years and done many improvements around our sites. If all of us use our safety behavior guidance: Think twice, take care and take away hazards in our daily operation we are on a good track in making safety a habit.
Our 3 safety behavior guiding principles (Take Care, Take Away Hazards & Think Twice) were implemented during 2020 where we also upgraded our Health & Safety certification from an old standard to the new ISO45001. In 2021 the highest focus is to get injuries further down by making safety a habit for all of us. It is crucial for Jupiter Bach that all of us are safe. Please help us continue this journey towards achieving our zero-injury ambition.
One single safety topic has been overshadowing everything else the last 12 months, namely the break out of the Corona pandemic. Also, in Jupiter Bach we have had to deal with the epidemic and create a “new normal” at all sites globally. Lars Rytter, COO: Except for closing a few weeks in some our factories due to either local governmental Covid-19 related measures or supply chain disruptions we’ve through global and local procedures been able to deliver to our objectives. Even more positive is that we globally have had very few employees out of work due to Covid-19 and I would like to thank all for their efforts and contribution in making this happen.
