What is our definition of a sustainable company? The United Nations says it best: Doing our part to achieve “peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.”
To help achieve this, Jupiter Bach is a strong supporter of the United Nations Global Compact and Sustainable Development Goals. These globally recognized principles and goals inspire the four unique pillars of our sustainability strategy.
Valuing people
Our people are our greatest asset. A key part of safeguarding the well-being of everyone here is our ISO45001-certified global Health and Safety Management System. By constantly improving this management system, we ensure safe working conditions everywhere we operate. In addition, our policies consistently strengthen Jupiter Bach as a welcoming, diverse and socially responsible workplace, where labor and human rights are never compromised.
Minimizing carbon footprint
In our latest advance, we’ve converted to 100% renewable electricity in every part of the company, decreasing our absolute greenhouse gas emissions (scope 1+2) by more than 65%. Through bold initiatives like this, we are on a journey to continuously reduce our impact worldwide.
Promoting clean energy
As the market leader within our field, we consistently drive the industry towards cleaner power at lower cost. With breakthroughs like our unified iO design platform, we keep raising the bar. Across our company and across the world, Jupiter Bach is a major innovator within our field, working to develop better solutions for clean and affordable energy.
Advancing business ethics
Fundamental to our codes of conduct and core values is the ongoing fight for labor and human rights and against corruption in all its forms. We enforce these efforts both within Jupiter Bach and throughout our supply chain. Through ongoing education everywhere we operate, we train our people to exercise good judgement and ensure responsible business practices.
Reporting on sustainability
Each year, Jupiter Bach reviews our progress from the previous 12 months, and declares new sustainability commitments for the coming year. To measure our performance, we release detailed annual reports about these sustainability commitments and achievements.
